How’d she get that kind of flavor in her game?
It’s a common question that most would ask about Jordan Roseboro when watching her play soccer for the first time.
It’s wonderful to see her dribble, breaking down defender after defender with effortless, fancy moves that sometimes make opponents fall to the turf.
Roseboro, who shares POY honors with Godwin’s Anne Lumpkin, learned it playing in Michigan. But once she reached Virginia, the game was different.
Much more touch and go, a lot less do it myself.
It’s made the Miami-bound player better and much more dangerous.
“The one thing I liked about Miami was that it was a really small school,” Roseboro said. “Academically it’s just a better fit for me.
“Athletically, I wanted to go to a program where the incoming class was going to actually do something … added talent that can make an impact to the program.”
There’s no doubt Roseboro will do just that.
